At Hairchitect Barber Shop & Lounge San Francisco (“Hairchitect,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, book services, receive our emails or texts, interact with our social media or ads, or otherwise engage with us.

By using our website or services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal information you provide: name, email, phone number, booking details, messages, preferences, and any content you submit.

  • Payment information: processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.

  • Automatically collected information: IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location, and identifiers from cookies or similar technologies.

  • From partners: booking platforms, analytics, advertising platforms, and social media, consistent with your settings on those services.

2. Cookies and Online Tracking

We use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate the site, measure performance, remember preferences, and deliver relevant ads.

  • Google Ads and Remarketing - to show ads based on past visits and measure conversions.

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Ads - to show relevant ads and measure performance.

  • Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) - to personalize ads across Microsoft’s network.

  • Analytics tools - to understand traffic and improve the site.

Your choices: you can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, use platform tools like Google Ad Settings, Meta Ad Preferences, and Microsoft Advertising opt-outs, or use industry opt-out tools such as the DAA and NAI. Blocking some cookies may limit site functionality. If you use a privacy or ad-blocking tool, your opt-outs may rely on a cookie on that browser.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve appointments, services, and customer support

  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and transactional notices

  • Personalize content and measure marketing performance

  • Conduct analytics, research, and service improvements

  • Comply with law, prevent fraud, and secure our services

4. Email and SMS Marketing

  • What we send: promotions, announcements, events, surveys, and offers from Hairchitect. We may use custom audiences and remarketing to reach people with relevant messages.

  • Legal basis and permission for our messages

    • Marketing emails -

      • US: We may email you marketing without prior opt-in if we follow CAN-SPAM requirements. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

      • EU/UK: We send marketing email only with your prior consent or under the limited “existing customer soft opt-in” for similar services, with an easy opt-out in every message. Our legal bases are consent and legitimate interests where permitted. You can withdraw consent at any time.

    • Marketing texts and automated calls -

      • US: Sent only with your prior express consent. Reply STOP to opt out.

      • EU/UK: Sent only with your prior consent or as otherwise permitted by law, with easy opt-out.

    • Transactional or service messages -
Examples include booking confirmations, reminders, receipts, or important service notices. We send these because they are necessary to provide the service or perform our contract with you, and they do not require marketing consent. We keep these messages free of advertising.

    • Mixed content rule -
If a message includes both transactional and promotional content, we treat it as marketing and apply the stricter opt-in or opt-out rules that apply in your region.

  • How to opt out: click the Unsubscribe link in our emails or reply STOP to SMS where available. You may also email us at email us with the subject line “Unsubscribe.” Opting out does not stop transactional communications like booking confirmations.
